I recently purchased the CMD Chrome Dome when my old trimmer head finally gave out. I loved the idea of having a metal bump head. I have a small farm and I do lots of trimming. I attached the trimmer head per the instructions and everything fit just fine.

Immediately, I noticed that although the top of the trimmer head connected via a bolt to the shaft of the trimmer, the bottom of the Chrome Dome head simply snaps on to the top. There are no screws or bolts that hold the two pieces together. I went ahead and started it up and within 15 seconds the bottom of the head flew off in multiple directions. I gathered all of the pieces and reviewed the instructions. I gave it one more shot. Immediately after starting the trimmer it flew apart again.

I have emailed the company and communicated the above results. I also watched the videos on their website and this particular trimmer head is not included.

This product is not safe and should be avoided.
