The Tanaka TBC-255PF commercial grade trimmer has the same drive shaft, handle and cutting head as the Tanaka TBC-230, but is powered by a 25 cc engine for more cutting power. Lifetime drive shaft warranty, blade and attachment capable, Walbro carburetor with primer for fast and reliable starts.

On March 1, 1998, Tanaka became the first two-stroke manufacturer to certify to the stringent C.A.R.B. Tier II emissions regulations. While most other manufacturers tried to fight the standard and say that it could not be done with two-stroke, Tanaka did it.
